We are looking for a hands-on HR business partner for benefits who excels in execution—someone who can take charge of benefits processing, collaborate across functional boundaries, and guarantee compliance while providing a flawless employee experience.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

1. A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a closely related field is required.

2. PHR, SPHR, or relevant human resources certifications or advanced degree, preferred.

3. 5 years’ experience in human resources required, with a focus on employee relations and labor relations experience preferred.

4. Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes.

5. Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

6. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail.

7. Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Lead HR projects that support organizational growth, acquisitions, and HR department start-ups.
Partner with executives to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business priorities.
Assist in building HR functions for new facilities, including onboarding, training, and workforce planning.
Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and compliance, with expertise in Illinois and federal employment laws.
Support talent acquisition, retention, and development across the region.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, programs, and policies.
Apply critical thinking and resolution-oriented problem-solving to complex HR challenges.
Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and cross-functional teams.
