We are looking for litigation associates with varying levels of expertise in general liability and professional liability.
Although candidates must live close to LBBK’s headquarters in San Diego, San Francisco, or Los Angeles, California, we offer hybrid and work from home possibilities.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria 

• A Juris Doctor from a law school recognized by the ABA
• Currently admitted to the California Bar, in good standing
• Three or more years of expertise in litigation involving general liability and/or professional liability
• Outstanding writer with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in oral communication
• A team member with outstanding interpersonal skills and reactivity is required.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational abilities, the capacity to multitask, and the capacity to perform well in a hectic setting
• Knowledge of current federal and state processes
• It is necessary to have experience engaging in depositions and mediations and to feel at ease managing court appearances.
• Although not necessary, trial experience is preferable.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Defending customers in a variety of general liability and/or professional liability cases
  examining defenses and claims, calculating damages and responsibility, and creating case management plans
• Researching and analyzing the law
• Writing memos, petitions, motions, and letters
• Taking and defending depositions and preparing discovery requests and responses
• Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and trials and arbitrations on behalf of clients
• Maintaining regular contact with clients, partners, associates, paralegals, and opposing lawyers: 1850 billable hours
