You will have the chance to work on L.A. Metro Purple Line 2/3 Extension projects as a Project Engineer at Fisk Electric, where you will report to the Project Manager. This is a rare chance to help with a well-known infrastructure project and get useful expertise in building intricate transit systems.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria 

• It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar discipline
• Five (5) years or more of experience in the construction industry
• It is necessary to have construction experience on comparable large-scale projects in the electrical industry.
• Experience with transit electrical systems is preferred.
• Must be conversant with large-scale mass transit and transportation projects and comprehend the principles of contracting.
• Must be well-organized and capable of overseeing a discipline or system.
• To optimize staff performance, one must be able to implement creative and efficient management strategies.
• It is essential to have a thorough awareness of how company and industry norms, procedures, standards, etc., affect project activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including persuasion, tact, and diplomacy, are crucial.
• Someone who is focused on business is required.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Keep track of, examine, and handle owner payment applications, change orders, change proposal requests, and, if relevant, claims.
• Keep track of job expenses, keep accurate records, and help the superintendent and project manager with labor cost analysis, quantity reports, and quarterly profit project records.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of the project closeout procedure.
• Investigate problems with quality control and provide fixes.
• Check that the finished work conforms with the relevant specifications, drawings, and codes.
• Assist superintendents and foremen in making sure that the project’s timeline is followed.
• Make weekly plans to organize and monitor construction-related tasks.
• Make arrangements with field supervision to guarantee that materials are delivered, examined, and prepared for use in the project.
• As needed, assist the project leadership.
