A subject matter expert in US payroll and tax compliance is what we’re searching for. You will collaborate closely with our R&D teams in this position to specify and test software needs for Rippling’s internal tooling and US payroll solution. You will also oversee important compliance procedures such as account audits, documentation of regulatory requirements, and cooperation with Rippling’s Tax Operations group.

You will work with our small but powerful Payroll Compliance team, whose goal is to keep Rippling’s tax and payroll systems up to date with evolving tax regulations nationwide and at the top of their game. Your efforts will have an instant impact on billions of dollars in fund flows and hundreds of thousands of employees.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

Over five years of experience in positions involving payroll taxes and compliance
Preferred CPP Certification
expertise working with engineering and product teams; ideally
expertise developing payroll software at various stages of development. You would be expected to simplify intricate payroll ideas into manageable and useful stages.
experience working for a startup with rapid growth. In particular, you understand how to function in a fast-paced workplace and don’t feel uneasy with conflicting priorities.
Experience working with federal, state, and municipal tax authorities in the United States
Outstanding research abilities
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking
Outstanding attention to detail Excellent organizational, time, and project management abilities
An entrepreneurial mindset that is adaptable, self-starting, and diligent

Role and Responsibilities:

Specify product needs to accommodate new and current payroll and tax laws.
Establish and carry out audit procedures to guarantee that Rippling’s payroll system and its computations are in conformity.
Consider yourself Rippling’s resident payroll and tax compliance specialist, and document and inform internal stakeholders of any changes to regulatory requirements. This position affects both
R&D and customer-facing teams.
Investigate and keep up on payroll tax laws and regulations.
Serve as Rippling’s liaison and point of contact with local, state, and federal tax authorities.

What We Offer:

When deciding on a candidate’s pay, a number of aspects are taken into account, such as their location, experience, and professional background. The values indicated below may not be the final offer amounts.
For this position, the salary range isUSD 81,000 to USD 141,750 annually (US Tier 1)
Between 72,900 and 127,575 USD annually (US Tier 2)

USD 68,850 to USD 120,488 annually (US Tier 3)
