Three days a week on-site as an embedded software engineer in West LA or Irvine
pay: $220,000 DOE + benefits
Edison Smart is collaborating with a top California-based pioneer in radio wireless communication.

For specific hardware systems, or “embedded systems,” such as those in automobiles, medical equipment, and Internet of Things devices, an embedded software engineer creates, develops, and tests specialized software. Writing, debugging, and optimizing microcontroller code is their primary responsibility. They must adhere to stringent real-time and resource limits while guaranteeing hardware-software integration, dependable operation, and efficient operation. To accomplish seamless integration, this calls for cooperation with hardware engineers and in-depth knowledge of the system’s software and hardware components.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

solid background in embedded systems
Experience with C/C++ in the past
MAC and Networking Layer Microchip, ARM MPSoC, and AMD UltraScale+
A strong background in radio or wireless technologies, such as WiFi, such as MANET or MIMO, is preferred.
A US citizen is necessary.

Debugging and Testing: To make sure the program works as intended and satisfies performance standards, find and address bugs and run unit tests.
Software must react to inputs and finish activities within stringent time constraints in order to be optimized for real-time performance.
System Design: Assisting in the creation of device drivers and software architectures that allow programs to communicate with hardware.
