Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, two years of related professional experience, or previous experience in quality or process improvement.
Analytical abilities and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Co-op or internship in distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain with expertise using fundamental lean/continuous improvement tools
Have practical understanding of the components of an effective quality management system, such as FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Quality KPIs, etc.

Role and Responsibilities:

Uses technologies and techniques for process improvement, such as 5S root cause analysis. Using Walmart Performance System WPS programs, Six Sigma time and motion studies are used to eradicate quality losses and variations in a distribution center area in accordance with the Network Process Structure.
Produces standard work to minimize process variation and eliminates loss in Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis to deliver desired functional area outcomes. helps area managers with the evaluation and reaction to quality-focused process improvement programs.
Gathers and submits variations to the One Best Way playbooks that are currently in use, and contributes project ideas and replication opportunities to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams.
Helps implement the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology tactically. oversees the functional area’s top-quality loss project execution and helps other area managers and associates develop their skills.
Aids in developing performance measures and an examination of the area’s quality loss profile. creates gap analysis to facilitate the incorporation of WPS
