A technical writer is needed for a big, international B2B software company. In order to guarantee consistent formatting, language, and style, you will evaluate the usability of the current documentation, spot any inconsistencies, and suggest and implement changes. In order to support, build, or run the ServiceNow Platform, you will conduct research, generate documentation, and make sure it is accurate for internal users.

This is a 40-hour-per-week remote position in the US with a 5-month project duration (extension possible).

This person works for Stage 4 Solutions as a W-2. There are 401(k) and health benefits available.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria 

•  More than six years of experience writing and polishing extremely technical content, with a focus on process documentation, DITA authoring, and assisting with ServiceNow platform projects.
• The capacity to choose priorities, work autonomously, and accomplish goals without oversight.
• The capacity to monitor content, establish milestone goals, and meet deadlines.
• The capacity to assess a readership and efficiently produce material with the right amount of depth.
• The capacity to pick up extremely complex procedures fast through the use of efficient interviewing strategies and the examination of many types of source material.
• Familiarity with combining data from several business areas and departments.
• Familiarity with DITA writing.
• The capacity to gather data by experimentation, interviews, and research.
• The capacity to collaborate with engineers, developers, and team members who are spread out geographically.

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the production of coherent, consistent content.
• Assist in upholding the procedures and standards that facilitate the production of internal articles.
• Examine current documentation for usability, spot inconsistencies, and suggest and implement changes to guarantee uniform language, formatting, and style.
• Organize the SMEs’ content evaluation and approval process.
• React to and take into account internal user feedback to continuously enhance documentation.
• Documentation for internal users that support, create, or run the ServiceNow Platform should be researched, written, and accurate.
• To produce extremely technical process documentation, troubleshooting manuals, and system architectural references, collect source material from subject matter experts.
