Job Description

Tier4 Group QA Tester (Manual) in California, United States @ tier4group.com Creating and providing testing services for ongoing projects involving numerous agencies, offices, and teams falls within the purview of this role. The role will assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for testing services, a new project of the State of Maine Project Management Office. Additionally, testing services for several State of Maine entities will be provided by this job.
In addition to working with others on release control procedures, the tester is a part of a team that designs, builds, and performs product, system, unit, load, volume, and network tests. The more seasoned tester integrates with the release control process and plans, organizes, builds, and runs tests. Testers possess or learn a great deal about business applications.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

A bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science, or comparable real-world experience.
More than two years of experience testing web applications manually.
Competence with Linux/Unix environments, including file system navigation, log checking, and command-line tool use.
Familiarity with testing backend services, online apps, and APIs.
knowledge of issue tracking software and software development lifecycles (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent).
Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Outstanding communication skills both in writing and speaking.
The capacity to operate both individually and in a fast-paced, cooperative team setting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Create and run manual test cases for both new and current functionalities in backend, web, and API systems.
To find and record software problems, conduct exploratory, regression, integration, and functional testing.
Isolate and reproduce bugs, record specific flaws, and monitor their remediation.
Work in Linux environments to run commands or scripts for testing, keep an eye on logs, and confirm application behavior.
To comprehend requirements and guarantee sufficient test coverage, work together with developers and QA colleagues.
Take part in activities related to release preparedness, test planning, and requirement reviews.
Support release validation efforts and offer thorough, well-documented testing reports.
Contribute to test documentation and best practices, as well as the ongoing enhancement of QA procedures.
