This role is part of myStartUp CFO, a reputable CPA & accounting services company that is part of Numera. To supervise general accounting operations by managing and confirming financial transactions, we are looking for a committed and meticulous accountant. In order to evaluate financial reports and projections, a good candidate will have excellent analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
The ideal applicant is enthusiastic, dedicated, and has prior experience leading or working with a group of bookkeepers. Making sure all accounting duties are accurate and efficient is another aspect of the job.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices, practical experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero, proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables), attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience managing or working with bookkeeping staff

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting tasks, including account verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation
Present key findings and accurate financial reports
Analyze complex financial data and turn it into actionable insights
Identify errors, inefficiencies, or cost-saving opportunities
Evaluate and improve internal procedures and accounting systems
Lead and mentor bookkeepers and accounting assistants
Assign, manage, and review their work
Prepare accurate financial statements and help with tax audits and returns
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes
Develop and document strong financial processes to support internal controls and guarantee complete adherence to US GAAP principles.
