As a Senior Software Engineer you will create, test, implement, and oversee the operations of vital services in Azure networking design. Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

This position requires the ability to pass security screenings conducted by Microsoft, customers, and/or the government. The following specific security screenings are among these needs, but they are not the only ones:
Background Check for Microsoft Cloud: When hired or transferred, and then every two years after that, this position will need to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
A master’s degree in computer science or a similar technical discipline AND at least six years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, or JavaScript
OR 8+ years of technical engineering experience in coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, along with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical subject, OR similar experience.
Software Engineering IC4: In the United States, the average base salary for this position is between $119,800 and $234,700 annually. The base salary range for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area and the New York City metropolitan area is USD $158,400 to $258,000 annually, with a varied range applicable to specific work locations.

Role and Responsibilities:

Determines the user needs for a scenario in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
Enables the creation of design documentation and the identification of dependencies for a platform, application, service, or product.
Code is created, implemented, optimized, debugged, refactored, and reused to determine and enhance ROI, performance, and maintainability.
Uses product feature subject-matter expertise and collaborates with relevant stakeholders (such as project managers) to guide a workgroup’s work items, release plans, and project plans.
Serves as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and mentors other engineers by creating and adhering to the playbook, working on call to keep an eye out for system, product, or service degradation, outages, or interruptions, updating stakeholders on the situation, and taking appropriate action to restore the system, product, or service for both straightforward and complicated issues.
