Job Description
Mercedes-Benz Hiring Vehicle Technology Engineer in Vance, AL – Under general supervision, this role is responsible for discovering, assessing, and rectifying issues with supplier parts through collaborative efforts with internal and external business partners, as well as suppliers, to guarantee incoming part quality and functioning. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain/operations management, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant professional experience in the fields of Quality Engineering in a manufacturing setting is required.
Responsibilities
Model Year and Running Change Measures activities should be coordinated, aligned, and reported on. The following are examples of this:
Align on boundary samples with the Supplier Quality Engineer (MP), assess trial parts and provide line assistance, and report part readiness for launch to the MP team. Using problem-solving strategies and continuous improvement methodologies, lead corrective action and root cause analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
Other Supplier Quality Operations-related responsibilities, such as line call assistance, problem response, audit finding investigations, walk-backs, non-conforming material handling, and so on, may be required.
Proficiency with CAD, Catia, CMM, FMEA, APQP, and Faro Arm measurement, as well as German language skills
