Help with organizing and supporting new hire employee orientation; make sure that human resource files and records are kept in compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as legal requirements; enter and make modifications for new hires, rehires, and transfers in HRIS (UKG); create weekly internal job postings and job postings for the recruiting database; assist the human resources department administratively, including but not limited to mail distribution, filing, faxing, and copying; Sorting and distributing paychecks; gathering and entering payroll data into HRIS; Enter address changes, direct deposits, W-4 election modifications, etc. As needed, support other HR employees.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria 

• A bachelor’s degree is ideal, but interviewing experience is necessary, as is experience in all facets of human resource responsibilities. Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities and capacity to manage sensitive data. favorable disposition toward both internal and external clients
• A driver must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and have had no more than two moving infractions or one serious accident in the previous three years. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, tugging, lifting, talking, typing, hearing/listening, and repetitive motion are all necessary skills for an employee to successfully carry out the fundamental duties of the work.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Updating internet employment boards (such as Indeed and college job boards), attending job fairs, and maintaining an applicant monitoring system Work with recruiting managers to identify staffing needs
• Process and review employment applications to assess applicants’ credentials or eligibility and screen and interview candidates using behaviorally based interviewing criteria. In addition to helping with clothing distribution and inventory, new hire uniforms are issued. Organize and plan drug tests and background checks in the California region and elsewhere as necessary.
