To support a major initiative inside the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Leidos is looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join a group of software developers, testers, and other technical staff. The tester is in charge of creating, putting into place, and maintaining technical quality control and assurance processes. Defining and outlining the application of standards, techniques, and protocols for examining, testing, and assessing the precision, correctness, and dependability of client and/or business products may be one of the responsibilities.

This role is subject to Leidos receiving a contract that specifies how the work will be done.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

A high school degree or its equivalent and seven or more years of relevant work experience
A current IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required.
Familiarity with the CLM Suite, Jenkins, Selenium, LoadRunner, Splunk, and JSON/XML Schema as quality assurance tools
Experience handling common concerns and difficulties without explicit solutions
Proficiency in examining and modifying work procedures to address issues

Proficiency and background in software development
Experience testing software on an Agile development team and in an IRS/Treasury environment regarding projects

Roles and Responsibilities

Establish and outline the criteria, techniques, and protocols for examining, testing, and assessing the client’s software products’ precision, correctness, and dependability.
Communicate openly with the Scrum team and the product owner to comprehend user needs and test software solutions.
Create test plans based on requirements, then write a test report following the test.
Test software in a cloud setting that is tailored to IRS regulations
Make sure the given code satisfies all functional requirements by conducting thorough unit testing.
When necessary, supervise peer testing.
In charge of overseeing certain activities in a field that significantly affects the job family’s performance
In charge of supporting and educating lower-level support staff.
Ensure that the program satisfies the functional requirements by serving as a SME to assist teams conducting regression testing, such as Application Qualification Test (AQT) and System Acceptance
Test (SAT) testing teams.
Test entire apps and retest the outcomes of security scans, bug patches, and Section 508 testing (if necessary).
If necessary, carry out final integration testing.
To deploy code and run automated regression tests, use Jenkins.
Be a cooperative team player with the ability to perform well and adapt in a fast-paced workplace.
Address common concerns and difficulties without explicit solutions
Examine and slightly modify work procedures to address issues.
