We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven team player to join our company. The ideal applicant should have leadership experience, improved technical skills (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic), and be based in the Los Angeles, California, area.

With an emphasis on electrical repair and diagnosis, this role is in charge of maintaining and repairing Kalmar brand container handling equipment at customer locations.
Along with helping field staff with paperwork, labor reports, work orders, and inspections, the candidate will also serve as a Kalmar Ambassador at the client location.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

A technical degree or at least five years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment, as well as leadership skills and the ability to manage a group of engineers and technicians
Siemens prefers candidates with PLC programming certification and/or expertise.
It helps to have specific knowledge of motors, controls, PLCs, hydraulics, steelwork, and/or rigging.
Commercial and/or large-scale electronic equipment experience is advantageous.
Excellent judgment, initiative, and experience with multifaceted maintenance and repairs for intricate systems and equipment
Strong command of the logic of control systems
Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems associated to mobile equipment are best understood theoretically and practically.
Strong organizational abilities
Strong communication abilities
Proficient in both written and spoken English
Strong problem-solving abilities.
A current driver’s license
A current TWIC card or the capacity to acquire When employed, a valid TWIC card
Candidates need to be capable of working at high altitudes.
The capacity to work on one’s own

Role and Responsibilities:

Employing manual, air, and electric hand tools to provide prompt diagnosis/repair and routine preventative maintenance for the Kalmar product lines
Consult with the customer to identify any equipment issues, and if required, visit the customer’s location to perform unit repairs or adjustments.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required.
Help with putting new equipment into service by commissioning it. Verify that the machinery is performing as intended. Teach the client how to use the apparatus. As specified in the contract, give the customer equipment service manuals and other documents. This involves creating and maintaining the PowerPoint presentations that will be utilized for client training.
Continue to follow up with the client to address issues or offer further information.
Inform engineering of any functional or design issues found during field operations. Inform Sales and Engineering on customer requirements and issues, and offer support for ongoing production projects as required.
Electronic equipment should be programmed and tested for warranties or spare parts.
Install updates to the software in the field.
Following the completion of a journey, a call report will be used to document all visits.
Make reservations for your flight, hotel, and rental car. A current passport and driver’s license are necessary.
