Job Description
Facebook Hiring Software Engineer in Sunnyvale, California @ facebook.com – The 3D Sensing team is in charge of integrating cutting-edge depth sensors into Facebook’s AR and VR products. This is accomplished by creating both hardware and software solutions that are cutting-edge. This position’s primary responsibility is to develop optimal software implementations of computer vision algorithms for these sensors. The algorithms will be focused on 3D depth creation and processing in particular. Rather than developing the algorithms themselves, the applicant’s focus will be on implementing them efficiently. Experience creating efficient C++ and CUDA GPU code, particularly in the context of real-time data processing, is essential.
Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
A bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science or a quantitatively related subject is required. Computer vision or image/video processing algorithms optimization experience. Conversion of algorithms into efficient C++ or CUDA code. Working knowledge of the formal code review process.
Work authorization must be obtained in the nation of employment at the time of hire and maintained throughout employment. Developing real-time data processing systems is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conversion of reference code to C++ implementations that are efficient Algorithm performance profiling on desktop and mobile devices. GPU-based implementations of important algorithmic blocks are being developed. Assist with the development of real-time data processing pipelines. To deliver essential technological solutions, collaborate with a diversified team. Work effectively with the SW team, including providing frequent code reviews to your coworkers.
