Job Description
C4ADS Hiring Software Engineer in Washington, District of Columbia @ c4ads.org – We’re seeking for a Software Engineer to join our data team, which is rapidly expanding. You will be responsible for managing different development projects for public apps and building new tools for analysis and information sharing for the rest of C4ADS as a Software Engineer at C4ADS. The ideal applicant has experience from the ground up creating full-stack development projects and can work with both organized and unstructured data. Software Engineers are required to work independently on individual projects while also coordinating with external contractors to complete development sprints on larger projects.
Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
A bachelor’s degree or certification in computer science, statistics, informatics, information systems, or any other comparable field. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript for full-stack web development (Node, React, Express, Angular). Ability to design and develop full-stack web development projects has been demonstrated. Understanding of how to automate infrastructure. Exceptional UI/UX design abilities. Knowledge of graph database platforms such as Neo4j, Neptune, and others. Experience with Python and data processing libraries such as pandas and numpy, as well as big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and others.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage web application development initiatives for both internal and external users. To guarantee that all development needs are fulfilled, coordinate project activities related to software development between C4ADS personnel (designers, content creators, analysts, data scientists) and external consultants employed to increase capacity (developers, testers, wireframe designers). Create and maintain tools for data analysis and dissemination.
Identify, develop, and execute internal process enhancements such as automating manual procedures, improving data delivery, and re-designing current application architecture for improved scalability and performance, among other things.
