The Manufacturing Lead transforms production strategy into consistent daily execution on the factory floor. This position is in charge of the coordination, quality, and dependability of BIORAY’s manufacturing activities, ensuring that the right work is accomplished in the correct order and according to specified standards every day.
The Manufacturing Lead ensures that production deadlines are met, quality standards are maintained, and operational processes function smoothly as BIORAY expands. This function organizes people, processes, and equipment to turn plans into predictable output and contributes to the consistent, high-quality products that consumers rely on.
As BIORAY grows, rigorous manufacturing execution becomes more crucial. The Manufacturing Lead sets structure on the factory floor, enforces quality and safety standards, and constantly improves the systems that enable the manufacturing team to function efficiently and reliably.
Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
- Ability to work full-time on-site at the Irvine, California manufacturing facility.
- Capability to stand, walk, and operate on the production floor for long durations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed during industrial activities.
- Experience with production documentation and reporting systems.
- Experience with project management tools (Gantt charts, Zoho, or similar systems)
- Experience managing manufacturing equipment maintenance schedules.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Production supervision entails overseeing, scheduling, and coordinating the actions of production workers such as machine operators, assemblers, and technicians. Assign tasks, establish production targets, and monitor adherence to production timelines. Be the point of contact for the QA and operations managers.
- Quality assurance entails monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process and implementing procedures to ensure high levels of quality and consistency. Conduct inspections and audits to detect and correct any problems or faults in the process, materials, and packaging.
- Process Improvement and Project Management – Identify and implement changes to streamline production processes, minimize waste, and increase efficiency. Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions. Utilizing project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, Zoho).
- Safety Compliance – Ensure that all workers operate in a safe environment by adhering to safety rules and corporate policies. To avoid accidents and injuries, conduct safety training and audits, and strictly adhere to safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance—Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery to reduce downtime and assure peak performance. Troubleshoot equipment faults and take corrective action as necessary.
- Inventory management is keeping track of raw material, component, and finished goods inventories in order to maintain an appropriate supply for manufacturing processes. Work with the procurement and logistics departments to optimize inventory levels and reduce stockouts.
- Team leadership entails leading, training, and motivating production team members to meet production targets and objectives. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to help team members grow and build a culture of continuous growth.
- Document and report using approved techniques. Maintain accurate manufacturing records, such as production reports, quality checks, and inventory lists. Escalate issues and prepare frequent reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics for management review.
